BACKGROUND INFORMATION 

 

The aim of Planetary Health Regional Hubs is to promote and support local research, education, policy, outreach, and on-the-ground interventions. The mission of the North American Hub is to inspire, coalesce and convene North Americans from all sectors to take transformative action through education, business, communication, and governance to advance social, environmental, climate, gender, and racial justice and equity, and with the guidance of Indigenous Knowledge Systems, promote Interconnection Within Nature to restore Planetary Health. 

 

The governance model and terms of reference (TOR) for the Planetary Health North America Regional Hub can be found here. Please refer to the TOR for more information on the mandate, objectives, and additional details of the governance model of the North American Hub.  

 

This application will be reviewed by a group of individuals who have been actively participating in establishing the Planetary Health North America Regional Hub as well as PHA staff. The selection committee will weigh applications based on a) applicants demonstrated experience in Planetary Health, b) relevant expertise, and c) vision for the particular Director position. Diversity among the council is highly valued and will be considered in the decision-making process.
