Advancing Health Equity: A Global View

The issue of health equity is gaining critical traction across the world. Many international organizations are including the issue front and center in their digital health frameworks.
The World Health Organization (WHO) states that the health sector needs to lead the way in monitoring health inequities. The WHO's recommendations include:
Redesigning health systems to be more equitable;
Prioritizing primary health care;
Addressing structural determinants of health inequity;
Protecting and increasing investment in health and other social sectors;
Ensuring equitable services and infrastructure in both urban and rural areas; and
Continuing to monitor health inequalities and the impact of action.
Hear an informative dialogue about how health equity is being embedded and implemented on different continents and perspectives from HL7.
