Are You a StartUp or Small Business with Legal Questions? - Client Interest Form

The BEACH Program (Bronco Entrepreneurs' Applied Collaboration Hub) at Santa Clara University serves the StartUp and Small Business community with their Legal and/or Business Challenges.

Hosted by Santa Clara University School of Law and Ciocca Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, our Law and Business School students with industry advisors team to provide relevant, individual and impactful Information & Resources to respond to your most important questions.

You must be available on Saturday, October 4th from 9:30-10:30 am to meet with your team via Zoom.

BEACH Client Interest:
Share with us your business and/or legal question with as much information to help us understand your need.

BEACH is:
- Open to all small businesses and entrepreneurs starting a business
- No costs or hidden fees
- Learning from experienced entrepreneurs, business leaders and legal experts + business and law students
- Access to network of resources

Please answer all questions as best you can. If you don't know how to answer a question, that's not a problem - please just be clear and open.

The application should be filled out by the owner or co-owner of the business/company.

You will also be asked to confirm below some important items. Please read them carefully.

BEACH Client Commitment

If selected as a BEACH client, you agree to:

- Attend two meetings with your BEACH team: 1) An interview to understand your problem/advice you are
  seeking, and 2) Delivery/discussion of the advice. Each meeting should take 30 min - 1 hour.
- Provide timely responses to questions from Your BEACH Team (SCU students and industry mentors)
- Have access to Zoom for virtual meetings
- Provide feedback to the BEACH leadership and complete post clinic surveys

BEACH Non-Engagement and Disclaimer

1. The business advisors and advising attorneys participating in SCU’s BEACH Clinic will attempt to answer your business and/or legal questions. However, neither the business advisor and/or advising attorney talking with you in a particular advising session, nor the clinic itself are representing you in your matter, and no business advisor, attorney, or the clinic itself will become your representative or legal counsel. Once you sign this form, it will apply to all future advising sessions until or unless you tell us you no longer want to agree. 
 
2. The business advisors and advising attorneys participating in SCU’s BEACH Clinic will not provide services beyond the consultation in a particular advising session. Advisors, including advising attorneys, will not be available for further consultation beyond a particular advising session. 
 
3. Any business or legal information or advice provided is solely the opinion of the business advisor or participating attorney. 
 
4. If it becomes clear to the business advisor or advising attorney that advising you will create a conflict of interest, your advising session with that business advisor or advising attorney will end and you will be advised by another available advisor, if possible, instead. 
 
5. The business advisors and advising attorneys participating in SCU’s BEACH Clinics are not endorsed nor employed by the host organization at whose facility the clinic is being held.
