FY25 On-Site Technical Assistance Application

What is Onsite Technical Assistance?

The purpose of our Onsite Technical Assistance is to strengthen, develop, and/or expand the capacity of Tribal and Native advocacy programs and communities' responses to intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence, and sex trafficking. The primary goal is to strengthen the development of programs, policies and procedures, strategies, and practices through approaches that are survivor-centered, culturally-based, and trauma/healing-informed.

- Training can be part of this process only if necessary to assure effective capacity building, development, and/or implementation of policies, procedures, and/or responses. NIWRC staff will collaborate with each selected onsite TA recipient to create an agenda specific to their program and Tribal community.

- NIWRC strongly encourages that the Director of the program that will be receiving the onsite technical assistance be the individual filling out the application. NIWRC understands that other offices or individuals may be involved in the application process according to policy and procedure of each program. We are requiring the involvement of the Director so that the subject and statement of need are relative, specific and informative to the needs of the program and not a general statement. If you have any questions regarding this guidance, reach out to the Ta Team at the emails listed below.

- We have the option to provide technical assistance virtually and will observe COVID mitigation precautions during any in-person onsite if needed.
