Police Dogs - FREE Online Dog First Aid Course

Dog First Aid Training, Animal Friends Insurance and the Thin Blue Paw Foundation have come together to ensure that the UK’s brave police dogs can receive immediate care should they get injured in the line of duty and have a better chance of recovery.

At Dog First Aid we believe that EVERYONE with a dog in their life should learn the skills to be able to save their life in an emergency.
 
As Police Dogs Handlers, your four-legged colleagues are more likely than most to be injured or harmed. That’s why, we’re delighted to be offering this free bespoke training to all serving police dog handlers across the UK, in partnership with Animal Friends Pet Insurance and the Thin Blue Paw Foundation.
 
Training will be delivered via Zoom over 4 hours - this will include two fifteen minute breaks. You will be sent a link to join the online training a week before your course.

About Dog First Aid

Dog First Aid have been delivering CPD accredited, vet approved training since 2013 and count thousands of happy customers - some of whom have gone on to save their dog's life using the skills we have taught them.
 
In this course designed specifically for police dogs and their handlers we will cover:
 
The role of a first aider and legal compliance
How to perform a full body exam on your police dog
Vital signs
CPR
Bleeds
Seizures
Canine shock
Fractures and sprains
Burns and scalds
Eye injuries
Heat stroke
Toxic ingestion
Choking
Road traffic collisions
 
Places are limited to 30 per course and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Once we receive your registration of interest we will confirm the date you are booked onto within 3 working days by email). If you have not received confirmation within 3 days, please check your spam folder as our emails sometimes go there.
