This series is designed to (re)ground K-8 science teaching in practices that are empirically linked to more equitable and meaningful student learning experiences.

Intro to mySci Kit PD for Grades 6-8

This course provides foundational support for teachers who are new to mySci by focussing on its core design components:
  • phenomenon-based learning
  • the 5E cycle of inquiry
  • problem-based performance tasks
Participants explore the mySci Partners webpage, identify high-leverage planning tools to support pacing, and experience a mySci modeled lesson as learners to truly internalize the inquiry aspects of a mySci classroom. Time is provided for mySci educators to plan for the upcoming school year with similar grade-level teachers in the St. Louis region.
