As a Senior Clinical Specialist, you’ll be on the front lines of transforming patient care in children’s and acute care hospitals. You’ll be the key player in expanding our reach, deepening our relationships with existing customers, and securing new ones. With your expertise, you’ll meet influential decision-makers, drive usage across multiple hospital departments (like NICU, PICU, ICU, ER, Oncology, and more), and ensure medical professionals are empowered through top-notch education and support.

You’ll work closely with our Sales Development Specialists and leadership team, playing a pivotal role in building and executing a strategic vision for success. Your passion and clinical expertise will guide nurses and medical staff through case coverage, training sessions, and in-service programs.

Note: This position will require approximately 50% travel.  Based out of your home office, the position will be traveling to and covering multiple states in the western part of the United States, predominantly California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, or Utah.

Key Responsibilities

While this list is not all inclusive of the position’s responsibilities, here are the key elements:

  • Focus on expansion within existing facilities through cross-sell and upsell initiatives, as well as strategic new opportunities to expand to key facilities where Covalon does not have a presence.
  • Leverage / build strong relationships and call on all target accounts with a frequency sufficient to ensure account penetration, sales growth, and business maintenance within a specified geographic territory.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales Development teams to advance assigned digital leads and opportunities into Covalon customers.
  • Meet and/or Exceed Territory Quota for focused products.
  • Travel as necessary within specific geographic territory to optimize Covalon product exposure and penetration.
  • Provide product education, evaluation, and customer in-service needs to nurses and medical staff through multiple mediums.  Provide clinical guidance to ensure continuity of education and technical support related to patient outcomes.

Education and Experience

Academic: A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.

Experience:  As this is a complex role, we are requiring at least 2 or more years of clinical nursing experience within acute care setting.

The preferred candidate will have a combination of experiences:
  1. Clinical experience, preferably in the NICU, PICU, CVICU, Hem/Onc or BMT. Vascular Access experience preferred.
  2. Sales experience in a medical setting not mandatory, but preferred.

Salary and Benefits

This position is both salary and commission based.  Our salary and commission structure is very competitive.  In addition, we also offer an excellent benefit package and a 401(k) match (once eligible).
