The Town of Waxhaw would like to invite you to submit an application to serve on one of Waxhaw's Volunteer Boards or Commissions. Below are guidelines for completing the application and a current list of openings.   

 

Guidelines:

  1. You may apply for one Board & Commission per application. If you want to apply for multiple boards, a separate application must be submitted.
  2. Applications may be completed online using the form below or stop by Town Hall for a paper application.
  3. Applications are accepted at any time and are kept on file for 1 year.
  4. Annual appointments are for 3 years and are made by the Board of Commissioners in September. Terms begin October 1st and end September 30. For your application to be considered for an appointment, it must be submitted to the Clerk's Office by July 31st.

Boards/Commissions

Please note that residency within the Town of Waxhaw is required for some Boards & Commissions. Information on each Board & Commission can be found on the Town Website by visiting the Advisory Boards & Commissions page.

Residency is required for:

  1. ABC Board
  2. Historic Preservation Commission
  3. Planning Board/Board of Adjustment

Residency is not required for:

  1. Parks, Cultural & Recreation Advisory Board
  2. Public Art Committee
