Student Leader Award Nomination Form

The Student Leader Award recognizes a remarkable student who has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, commitment to community service, and a passion for making a positive impact within their school and community. This award celebrates students who have gone above and beyond to inspire and lead others toward positive change.



Criteria for Nomination:

  • Must be an active participant in the BC Community Alliance's Support for Student Learning Program or a student enrolled in a high school, college, or university in British Columbia.
  • Demonstrated leadership in school activities, community service, or extracurricular programs.
  • Commitment to empowering peers, advocating for social justice, or engaging in initiatives that benefit the community.



How to Nominate a Student Leader:

  1. Complete the nomination form below, highlighting the student’s contributions to their school and community.
  2. Share specific examples of how this student has demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a positive impact.
  3. The nominee must be between the ages of 14-21 and currently enrolled as a student in a recognized academic institution.
  4. Nominations must be submitted by October 19th.


Voting Process:

Once nominations are submitted, the top candidates will be shortlisted, and public voting will be opened. Share your nomination with family, friends, and your community to gather votes. The student with the highest votes and a panel evaluation will be honored at the gala.

To nominate a student for the Student Leader Award, please submit a written statement (300-500 words) that highlights the student’s leadership, innovation, and positive impact in their school and community. Your statement should address the following:

Leadership: Provide specific examples of how the student has demonstrated leadership skills in school activities, community service, or extracurricular programs. Consider how they have motivated, organized, or led others toward achieving a common goal.

Innovation: Describe how the student has brought new ideas or creative approaches to solving problems, addressing challenges, or advancing initiatives in their school or community.

Positive Impact: Share how the student's leadership has positively influenced their peers, school, or the broader community. This could include their role in advocating for social justice, environmental initiatives, or other causes that promote the well-being of others.
Commitment: Explain how the student has shown a consistent commitment to empowering others, advocating for causes they believe in, or creating lasting change in their community.

The written statement should provide clear, concrete examples of the student’s contributions and their dedication to making a difference.

Submission Deadline:
Submit your nomination by October 19th. Selected finalists will be shared for public voting.
