GREAT - Green Deal Data Space (GDDS) Biodiversity Stakeholder Forum
Are you a stakeholder in the Biodiversity area? Are you interested to know more about Data Spaces and their role in digital transformation and how you can contribute to the Green Deal Data Space?
The GREAT | Green Deal Data Space project is eager to invite you to the first Stakeholder Forum on Biodiversity, which will take place on the 25th of September at 14:00 CET on Zoom.
On this occasion, you will have the chance to participate to the discussion with our community and the data space-domain experts to help us shape the vision of the future European Green Deal Data Space.
In our project, we are focusing on three strategic policy areas: biodiversity, zero pollution, and climate Adaptation. We hosted a webinar earlier this year about biodiversity that you can access here. There are still significant data gaps, the lack of comprehensive biodiversity data, incomplete habitat mapping, limited long-term monitoring, data integration, or the lack of data on ecosystem services, among others, that need to be addressed to fully achieve the objectives of the EU Biodiversity Strategy. Addressing these data gaps will require a collaborative effort between member states, researchers, the private sector, and NGOs. The Biodiversity Stakeholder Forum will try to further address those, as the Green Deal Data Space can act as a critical enabler to collect, integrate, and disseminate biodiversity-related data and hence, support the EU Biodiversity objectives
Preliminary agenda:
14:00:14:10: Welcome and Opening
