About the Role

📍 In-Office (South Carolina)

As a 3D Printing Technician at CADmore, you will operate and maintain our 3D printing equipment. You will work closely with our design and engineering teams to produce high-quality prototypes and production parts. Your role will involve preparing digital models for printing, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all printed parts meet client specifications and quality standards.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Operate and maintain various 3D printers to produce prototypes and production parts.
  • Prepare digital models for printing, including slicing and optimizing files.
  • Monitor printing processes to ensure high-quality output and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Perform post-processing tasks such as cleaning, sanding, and assembling printed parts.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to meet project requirements and timelines.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in operating 3D printers and using relevant software (e.g., slicers, CAD programs).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality prints with precise specifications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Address and resolve technical issues during the printing process.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Communication: Clearly convey technical details and printing results to team members and clients.
  • Adaptability: Open to learning new tools and techniques as needed.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in the 3D design or CAD services industry.
  • Familiarity with different 3D printing technologies (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS).
  • Knowledge of post-processing techniques and materials.
  • Interest in continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Experience with real-time collaboration tools and systems.
  • Background in art, history, or social sciences, enriching your design perspective.
