Mandatory Disclosure

The IR Act requires QNCH to notify you of your financial obligations, resignation rights, and membership outlined below.

1. Financial obligations (AKA Contribution Criteria)

Red union members
QNCH offer free membership to current financial members of a red union association (i.e. NPAQ, NPAA, AMPS). There are no other financial obligations where a member is a financial member of a red union association.

Non-red union members
If a QNCH member wishes to join without being a financial member of a red union association, they will have to pay an amount prescribed to an account approved by QNCH's Ordinary Resolutions Committee.

2. Resignation rights

Any QNCH member may resign as a member by expressing an intention to resign to QNCH's Grand Secretary email, whether directly or via hotline@redunion.com.au.

If a member resigns from another red union association without ensuring Contribution Criteria will be met to QNCH, then they may be taken to have resigned by QNCH.

3. Membership

QNCH members will be entitled to representation by QNCH, its lawyers, industrial officers, agents, and advisors, much of which will be provided by the Red Union Group.

The date of membership will be taken to be when:

(1) QNCH has confirmed eligibility of a member, including the Contribution Criteria; and

(2) the member has confirmed they have been provided with the financial obligations and resignation rights information above.

4. Privacy Notice
The Industrial Relations Act gives permission to the Registrar of the QIRC, employers, and registered organisations to access member registers. The information will also be used confidentially by QNCH's agents and officers in order to provide services.

QNCH rules are hosted by NPAA and can be requested from hotline@npaaservices.org.au.
