The Lean Enterprise Institute is responding to the Covid-19 crisis by creating a space to help companies cope with the epidemic’s economic disruption. We call it the #LeanCommunity, a new online Slack workspace where lean practitioners can gather to engage in collaborative problem-solving to help one another cope with the pandemic’s challenges.

A secondary purpose of the #LeanCommunity is to share practical stories and lessons about people and organizations that use lean management to overcome – or at least diminish -- the problems caused by the pandemic.

Eventually, Covid-19 will be behind us. But challenges will remain. So story-telling and problem solving will continue. We intend for #LeanCommunity to live on long after this crisis has passed us.

How did you hear about the #LeanCommunity?

Lean Community Ground Rules

  1. No Yelling -- Come as a humble learner; this is not the place to debate or debase other’s posts or hop on a soapbox. We’re all here to solve real problems together.
  2. No Selling --- This is not the place to market your services. We’re all here as volunteers to help one another address critical issues in real-time. What are some examples of violating the ‘No Selling’ policy?
    • Posting a link to a consulting organization
    • Advertising consulting or other services
    • Soliciting customers for consulting or other services
  3. Respect for People -- We expect all participants to extend human decency to everyone else here.
