Expression of Interest - Digital Deep Dive 

Opportunity

Central Coast Council, through Destination Central Coast is committed to supporting the local tourism industry build capability by providing training and upskilling opportunities. We are providing a fully subsidised opportunity for ten eligible tourism operators to participate in the Digital Deep Dive program, a training and mentoring initiative designed to equip operators with digital marketing knowledge and skills to help grow their businesses.

 

The Program

Delivered by Talk Agency, a leading Australian digital marketing agency, the Digital Deep Dive is a 4-month training course covering the six core pillars of digital marketing, including content marketing, email marketing, websites, search engine optimisation, social media, and digital advertising. The program aims to expand participants' digital marketing capabilities and guide them through the delivery of digital projects that will help their businesses grow.

 

The course is delivered via:

  • One online Welcome Webinar 
  • Three in-person keynote presentations (2 hours each)
  • Three 1:1 mentoring sessions with a digital marketing expert (90 mins each)
  • Detailed supporting training material accessible via an online portal (minimum 1.5 hours per week)

 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Be the business owner or employee of a Central Coast tourism business (examples include hotels and accommodation, tours and transport, attractions, restaurants, bars and breweries, makers and creators)

  • Be responsible for implementing digital marketing activities for their tourism business

  • Must commit to the time requirements of 6 hours per month for 4 months to complete the course.

This will include:
    • attending one online Welcome Webinar (time: 9:30am – 11:30am date: 4 March)
    • attending three x 2 hour in-person keynote workshops Wyong Administration Office, Function Rooms (time: 9:30am – 11:30am dates: 8 April, 6 May, 3 June) 
    • allocating a minimum of 1.5 hours per week to work through online learning content
    • attending three x 90 minute mentoring sessions
  • The tourism business must have a website and two social media business pages (eg. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

  • The tourism business must have an updated LoveCentralCoast.com business listing and at least 10 high-quality images

  • Note only one applicant per business can apply

Round 3 will run from end of March to June 2025.
