Climate Café [Recovered]-01-1

I want to host a climate café

Climate cafés are community-organised safe spaces for people to have open yet structured conversations about how to navigate difficult climate emotions and translate these feelings into action.

By filling in this form you will receive our brand new How-to Guide with everything you might need to run your climate café, including handy resources and case studies from previous hosts. Our Global Activation Day (November 30th) has now passed but we would love to see climate cafés continue!

What’s needed for a climate café:

  • A location to host the climate café (this could be an existing café, shop, community space, park, or even someone’s living room).
  • Seats and tables.
  • Some hot drinks and snacks if that's your style (e.g. biscuits).
  • Clarity on who you want to participate in your climate café. This could be friends or strangers off the street; other young people or an intergenerational audience.
  • A readiness to facilitate climate conversations. It’s up to you how long you run the café; it could be one day or it could be for two weeks.

In some instances we’re able to offer micro-grants, to cover any associated costs. Applications for funding for this round of climate cafés has now closed.
