In the coming months, our curriculum partners will be looking for teaching resource creators and teaching resource reviewers to form a vital part of their teams in developing high-quality lesson resources and curriculum design materials.

Teaching resource creators

Teaching resource creators must be excellent professionals with experience of creating lesson resources that show pedagogical best practice in subject and phase. You’ll also need to be tech-savvy, and up for learning to use new tools and systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • To plan, design and create high quality, engaging lessons, in collaboration with the teaching resource reviewers and Oak’s Curriculum Delivery Team, via Oak’s production process.
  • Specifically these lessons must:
    • Align to Oak’s Quality Guidance by engaging with training materials and implementing guidance
    • Showcase best practice, in terms of pedagogy, subject and design
  • You will also be required to: 
    • Meet production deadlines
    • Proactively engage with learning opportunities provided by Oak
    • Improve lessons in response to feedback

Teaching resource reviewers

Teaching resource reviewers must be excellent teachers with knowledge and experience of implementing pedagogical best practice in their subject and phase. You’ll also need to be tech-savvy, and up for learning to use new tools and systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • To review and provide timely and constructive feedback to their teacher team on the lessons they have produced, in line with Oak's quality guidance.
  • To support the planning of lesson content and assume the role of ‘subject’ consultant for teachers and colleagues.
  • To proactively organise and manage the lesson production schedule of their teacher team, as well as monitor, plan and report up to Oak’s curriculum subject lead on their teacher team's progress, blockers and support needed.
