2025 Peer Learning Strategy Sessions

Peer Learning Strategy Sessions are topic-specific, funder-hosted discussions designed to be conversational and exploratory opportunities for our grantmaking members to learn about new or innovative grantmaking initiatives, brainstorm existing or potential investment strategies, and explore new ideas together. Launched in 2023, these conversations have created space for funders to learn, network and expand their work. Sign up below to join our 2025 discussions!

Join Workforce Matters' Co-Directors and Steering Committee members in conversation about the Administration’s federal spending policies and their implications for workforce funders, our grantees, and the communities we serve. In this funder-only conversation, participants will have a chance to share and learn what workforce funders are hearing from their grantees, how they are responding, and what opportunities there might be to collaborate on this issue going forward.

Join a conversation with Lauren Crain of the WES Mariam Assefa Fund and Ranita Jain of the Annie E. Casey Foundation on supporting immigrant and refugee workers and the organizations that serve them during these times. Ranita and Lauren will each briefly share about their organization’s strategies and how they have evolved. Attendees will also have an opportunity to share their own approaches, strategies, and concerns, ask questions, and provide feedback to Workforce Matters on how we can continue to create space for support and sharing.

Join a conversation with Lauren King of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Robin Boggs of Accenture, and other corporate and foundation leaders about what it is like to continue to support efforts that advance workforce equity in these changing times. In this conversation you will share and learn more about how leaders in our field are thinking about strategies, investments, and communications that best support our field partners and grantees.

Join a conversation with Elaine Katz of The Kessler Foundation and Tuquan Harrison of The James Irvine Foundation. Tuquan and Elaine will share more about their respective commitments to investing in Disability Justice and Inclusion in Workforce Development, how they’ve partnered together and why they are strong advocates for prioritizing individuals and workers with disabilities.
