Memorandum of Understanding 

We are thrilled to welcome you and your campus as one of our incredible partners. We ask each university contact to sign below to acknowledge what we at Swipe Out Hunger offer to you and what we expect of you in order to improve our support. We look forward to working together to address college student hunger.

Purpose of Agreement

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) is to define the program offerings and support that Swipe Out Hunger will provide to official partner campuses. Swipe Out Hunger does not charge for the services listed in this MOU. 

Term of Agreement

A campus does not become an official partner until this MOU is signed. Either party may terminate this MOU at any time. 

Scope of Agreement

Swipe Out Hunger will provide the following support to your campus as an official partner:
  • Marketing: We’ll highlight your program through the press inquiries we receive, a personalized website for your campus efforts, and send t-shirts, stickers, and digital marketing materials for your on-the-ground efforts.
  • Education: We’ll provide resources and guidance for hosting awareness campaigns to help you become a basic needs champion on your campus.
  • Coaching: You’ll have access to our network for guidance, support, and connections to a community of change-makers like you, as well as our best practices and tools.
  • Leadership Opportunities: We host national convenings to bring Swipe Out Hunger leaders from different regions together to strengthen your voice on higher education basic needs.
  • Evaluation: We invite campus partners to participate in our national annual survey that measures the impact of Swipe Out Hunger-supported programs.


In exchange, Swipe Out Hunger requires the following from you as an official campus partner:

  • A Point Person (i.e. you!): We’ll reach out a few times each year to hear updates on the status of your program and provide tailored resources to help your program with its unique needs. You agree to notify Swipe Out Hunger if the campus point person changes.
  • Information: As an affiliate, we ask that you share data with us to understand the impact of your programs with Swipe Out Hunger in our annual evaluation survey.
  • Intellectual Property:  As a campus partner, we are granting you a non-exclusive, non-transferrable, limited license to use the “Swipe Out Hunger” name during the term of this MOU solely for purposes that advance the mission of our organization. We ask you to not impair the reputation, goodwill, distinctiveness, or validity of Swipe Out Hunger’s intellectual property.
  • Nature of Relationship: You understand that Swipe Out Hunger serves as a counseling body and does not actively monitor or participate in your on-campus program. Therefore, Swipe Out Hunger shall not be held liable.
  • Permission to use images: You give Swipe Out Hunger permission to use your campus’s logo, whether from your website or provided to Swipe Out Hunger directly, on the Swipe Out Hunger campus partner map. Swipe Out Hunger will not impair the reputation, goodwill, distinctiveness, context, or validity of the campus's logo or other provided intellectual property.
