Request to collaborate with the Data Lab

Thank you for your interest in collaborating with the Childhood Cancer Data Lab, a program of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).

You can expect to hear back from a Data Lab staff member within 5 working days of submitting your request. Collaboration requests are evaluated based on mission fit, the expertise require to carry out the project, and our current capacity.

Considerations for ALSF Grant Applications

If you’re submitting this request as part of an ALSF grant application, please note that a limited number of grant applications per cycle will be granted requests for effort from the Data Lab. These requests are required to be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the grant application deadline. If your request is approved, the Director of the Childhood Cancer Data Lab will provide a Letter of Support to be included as part of your application. Priority will be given to investigators:

  • Seeking to improve reproducible research and analytical code practices through collaboration with the Data Lab (e.g., learning to use version control services for source code or workflow managers for data processing)
  • Making existing scientific software more usable or accessible (e.g., through construction of a web portal)
Provide a short (one sentence) working title for your project
At a high level, describe the project for which you are requesting a collaboration. Please specify the scientific question and include information about experimental design, data types, and methods.
How do you think the CCDL can help? What are the project deliverables?
Does this project require a Materials Transfer Agreement?*
Do you currently have the data required for the project in hand?*
