Micro-Grant Application

Microgrant applications are being accepted through Friday, January 31, 2025.

The Smart Thinking Foundation will award $40,000 in micro-grants ranging from $100 to $1,000.

The Smart Thinking Foundation Board will choose the grants using one or more of the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Demonstrated need based on student performance
  • Increases services to students and/or staff
  • Application in the school or classroom
  • Products or services align with the system or site strategic plan

The Micro-Grant program is a reimbursement program. If your grant is approved, you can seek reimbursement on your approved application until June 27, 2025.

Assurances

As a duly authorized requestor, I:
  • Have notified my school or district that I am applying for a microgrant and have approval to do so, 
  • Attest that the request is valid and does not supplant existing funding,
  • Acknowledge that reimbursement can only be made to a school or district, and
  • Agree to comply with all requirements for reimbursement (example: documentation of purchase and payment) if awarded.
