The Construction Connect UP Program is designed to serve as an effective transition from school to career. The Upper Peninsula Construction Council (a joint Labor/Management Council established and sponsored by affiliated signatory contractors and union building trades) in collaboration with UP Michigan Works and Local Education Agencies (ISD’s & RESA’s) have developed this program that is skill based, labor and industry approved and directly linked to explicit real-world workplace situations.

We are recruiting for the official start of the Construction Connect UP Program to begin in the 2023/2024 school year.

The deadline to register is April 7th. 

• Must be a High School Senior at least 17 years of age.
• Must be enrolled in a certified CTE Program.
• Must have driver’s license or in process and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Student will be assigned to a signatory contractor on a construction site Monday-Friday 2-3 hours during the school day based on student schedule.
• EARN($13.00/Hr) and LEARN PROGRAM.
