Level 3: Defined/Structured

2. Is there a comprehensive and centralized repository for hardware asset documentation? 
3. What tools or systems are utilized for automated inventory tracking and management? 
4. Are there established procedures and controls for hardware procurement and disposal, including approval workflows and vendor management? 

Level 4: Proactive/Optimized

1. How well-integrated is ITAM with other IT management processes such as change management, incident management, and capacity planning? 
2. What initiatives are in place to optimize hardware asset utilization and cost-effectiveness? 
3. How frequently are audits conducted to reconcile hardware inventory against documentation and actual assets? 
4. Are there any mechanisms for proactive monitoring and management of hardware assets throughout their lifecycle? 

Level 5: Strategic/Aligned

1. To what extent is ITAM aligned with the organization's strategic goals and objectives? 
2. How well-integrated is ITAM with broader IT service management and business processes? 
3. Are advanced technologies and analytics used for predictive asset management and forecasting?
