Program Overview
The goal of the LCD Bridge to the Bar program is to eliminate some of the financial barriers experienced by aspiring attorneys in pursuit of a legal career. The program will focus on current participants/alumni of any of LCD’s student programs (e.g., Summer College Pipeline Program, Mentor/Mentee program, etc.). The 2025 Bridge to the Bar program is targeted to graduating/graduated law students who have expenses related to preparing for the bar exam.
Background
The mission of LCD is to increase the representation of lawyers of color in the state of Connecticut. We have learned that along that path there are often a number of hidden barriers that might hinder individuals’ ability to achieve that goal. Through the Bridge to the Bar program, LCD endeavors to provide financial support, in part, to address some of those barriers.
