Join our 2023 API Local News Summit on Mental Health and Sustainability

The American Press Institute is holding a summit on October 10-11 in Atlanta, Ga. to identify and advance solutions that help news leaders support journalists’ mental health.

The summit is designed for discussion and exchanging ideas, rather than panels. It's free, invitation-based and we anticipate up to 60 attendees. Participants must agree to Chatham House Rules to ensure the openness of the conversations.

If you have experience or interest in supporting mental health in newsrooms or work in spaces beyond journalism that would add to our discussion (e.g. psychology, organizational well-being or other similar industries), please fill out this form by September 17, at 11:59 p.m. ET to be considered for an invitation.

Have questions? Reach out to Kevin Loker, API's director of strategic partnerships and research, at kevin.loker@pressinstitute.org.

The summit will take place on October 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on October 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with an optional happy hour to follow. Are you interested and able to attend the full 2-day summit?*
