Documentation

Please provide at least two photos of the problem. The more information and images you provide, the more quickly we can confirm the claim.

Your customer will receive an email confirmation that this form has been submitted. Your claim will be reviewed as quickly as possible. We strive to respond to all claims within 3 business days. In the event that we need further information, please respond directly to the emailed request for tracking purposes. 

Claims are often denied for the following reasons:

  • Incomplete information or inconclusive documentation
  • The damage was caused during shipping and a claim should be filed with the carrier
  • The customer used the equipment inappropriately or failed to complete reasonable maintenance
  • The customer's boat was not assembled properly, contributing to the failure
  • The boat has been damaged rather than being defective

When a claim is accepted:

  • Takacat Americas may request your defective parts in return for the replacement parts.
  • Replacement parts will be shipped with the expectation of dealer or customer installation. 
  • Takacat Americas will ship replacement parts for free directly to customers in the continental US. In the event that the customer is not located in the continental US, shipping charges may apply.
  • Takacat Americas provides a functional warranty. In some cases, replacement parts will be functionally equivalent, but may not be aesthetically identical.
