VMS Software Ambassador Program

The purpose of the VMS Software Ambassador Program is to enable collaboration between VMS Software and independent community members who wish to participate in the development of the OpenVMS ecosystem and bring value to VMS Software and are qualified to do so on the grounds of having extensive knowledge of and experience with OpenVMS and its layered products and/or knowledge of the OpenVMS market.

Why Become an Ambassador

As an OpenVMS Ambassador, you will receive:

a custom license for OpenVMS and layered products on Alpha, Integrity, and/or x86 as well as access to new versions (but not support).
access to exclusive OpenVMS Ambassador round table meetings where VMS Software management will share news and plans and respond to Ambassadors' questions.

In return, you are expected to participate in the round table meetings, report on your work in the ecosystem, and be available for questions from VMS Software about the ecosystem, the OpenVMS market, your opinion on the new features of OpenVMS and other similar topics. You may also be offered (but not required) to participate in field tests of new software. Your participation in the program will be reviewed on a yearly basis.

Who Cannot Be an Ambassador

Individuals who develop and sell software for OpenVMS: please apply for an ISV license here.
Representatives of companies that use OpenVMS for commercial puposes: please apply for a commercial license here.
