United Way Day of Caring

NewView Oklahoma will be hosting a Fall Festival for our Garden Grand Opening event that will be open to the public, our clients, and our employees. This event is meant to be accessible for anyone and everyone and will have a significant number of blind patrons. Individuals with vision loss needed added supports that will be accounted for during the event set up, and we need volunteers to help guide patrons through the event to ensure they are able to access food, beverages, and all activities with ease.

We need volunteers on October 27th to help with the following:

• Event set-up (5 volunteers) – 9 am – 11:30 am
• Set up tents, games, and activities
• Event Support (10 volunteers) - 11:30 am – 3:00 pm
• Act as a sighted guide for blind patrons helping them to access and get to various activities
• Event take down (5 volunteers – 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm  
• Help take down tents, games, and activities

All volunteers will have a free lunch and we will have plenty of water and snacks on site throughout the day.
